Even better? My little kids love them as well. So do yourself a favor, meal prep enough for the whole family so you can have stress-free weekday mornings.

Overnight oats have been taking over the breakfast world, for good reasons. So what is it?

They are a combination of rolled oats and milk along with other add-ins like nut butter, protein powder, and flavorings.

Stored in the refrigerator overnight, the oats soak up all the liquid and flavors and create a creamy and thick texture without any cooking required.

Simple to prepare, overnight oats be made ahead of time and you can easily customize it with many different flavors. Even better, they can be enjoyed cold or warm, making them perfect for an on-the-go breakfast.

Why Are We Using Blended Oats?

Traditional overnight oats use rolled oats which creates a thick, creamy and a little chewy crunchy texture. But blending the oats will enhance the texture and flavor of your favorite overnight oats game to a new level.

You will get a smooth and creamy texture, almost like a pudding, but better. Blending allows the flavors to be even richer.

You can buy store-bought oat flour, or blend rolled oats in a high speed blender to make your own oat flour.

Alternatively, you can make the oat mixture first with rolled oats then blend it till smooth before refrigerating overnight.

My preferred way is using oat flour. Because there is less cleaning required.

Ingredients You Need for Snickers Overnight Oats

Oat Flour is the powder form of rolled oats. You can get store-bought oat flour or blend rolled oats in a high-speed blender to make your own.

Milk of your Choice: You can use regular milk, or any of your favorite plant based milk.

Chocolate Pea Protein is my favorite ingredient to use when it comes to overnight oats. It does not have a strong cacao taste but is usually lightly sweetened. So you don’t need additional sweetener for this overnight oats recipe. It also adds thickness to oat mixture.

Peanut Butter is essential in the Snickers Bar flavor!

Date Caramel is my simple vegan caramel created by medjool dates as the main ingredients.

Sea Salt always enhances the flavors especially when there are chocolate and caramel involved.

Chocolate Shell has been going viral on social media for good reasons. It is such a fun way to top off this blended oats recipe.

How to Make Snickers Blended Oats

In a microwave safe bowl, add in chocolate chips and peanut butter. Heat for 30 seconds. Stir well then heat for 10 – 15 seconds more if needed.

The peanut butter mixed in helps soften the chocolate once hardened in the refrigerator.

Tips to Make the Perfect Breakfast Oats

  1. Add a tablespoon of Chia seeds Or Flax seeds to take this recipe up a notch. Not only they will add extra thickness and crunch to the oats mixture, but will also give your morning a little extra boost.
  2. Adjust the sweetness to your liking. Although the chocolate protein and date caramel already add some sweetness to the oats, some may prefer sweeter. You can add additional maple syrup or date syrup, 1 tablespoon at a time until you reach your preferred sweetness.
  3. Top with extra crunch like toasted peanuts, or other nuts and seeds
  4. Double or triple the recipe to meal prep for the week. These Snickers Overnight Oats can be store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
